Northwestern Hawaiian Islands
While there’s no doubt it’s getting hotter on Earth, surely hell is freezing over. George Bush the second did something very good. By declaring a chain of the Hawaiian islands a national monument, commercial fishing can be banned in the area within 5 years.
Kudos for giving Bush some credit. Most lefties (and I’m not saying you’re one) still refuse to recognize anything he does right.

I’m so far left, I’ve almost circled all the way around to the right. Blame me first.
Most folks I know who keep up with national politics have been having a hard time ascertaining the ulterior motive with this one. Bush the second et. al. has generally been pretty transparent in its motivation. If they say one thing, they must be doing the opposite. In this case, I can only hope there’s a sincere desire to put some “conservation” back into conservative. Food, air and water really should be bipartisan issues.
